Mecânica Quântica: do Átomo à Sua Startup

Resumo

In this contribution, we present a brief historical review of quantum mechanics, highlighting key theoretical
and experimental developments that culminated in the formulations proposed by Werner Heisenberg and
Erwin Schrödinger a century ago. We then discuss several technological applications that have emerged
from the fundamental insights of quantum mechanics, applications that became possible only through
the analytical methods introduced by this theory. We hope this overview inspires students to dive deeper
into this fascinating and challenging subject, which, despite its complexities, offers immense intellectual
and practical rewards.
