Resumo

The Curvularia lunata fungal strain was isolated from the leaves of Spigelia anthelmia and grown in Potato dextrose broth (PDB) liquid medium to obtain the initial crude extract. The rapid fractionation through preparative High performance liquid chromatography, (HPLC) resulted in the isolation of two components, radicinol 1 and radicinin 2, which are known to have phytotoxic activities, as reported in previous literature. These substances did not show phytotoxic activity against S. anthelmia leaves when tested at a concentration of 100 µg/mL.
